State Fair 2013

We took our annual trip to the State fair with the cousins.  It was really fun this year since Kinley was old enough to to understand what we were doing.

Must have photo in front of Abe.
We had to check out all the animals including the clydesdales.
We also went in the stinky pig house where the huge mama pigs were having babies!
Seeing the butter cow is also a must do.
We saw a bunch of baby animals in the FFA tent.
Kinley wasn't too sure but she was pretty darn cute!
She got brave enough to pet the baby chick!
We wrapped up the day at the harness races.
Laiken was such a trooper.
I love these kiddos so much!

August 2013

We had such a fun summer with the girls!!  We took plenty of boat rides...
Laiken wasn't too impressed so the ride lulled her to sleep with Aunt Christie.
I had to document K's first skinned knee - I can't believe she's old enough to have skinned knees!
We took a couple trips to the park & Kinley loved the slides!

Laiken was perfectly content hanging out in the stroller.
Kinley also loved the splash pad!
We had family visit from Texas in August, too!  We decided to get a "cousins on the couch" picture & this was the best I could get!
We decided to take Kinley out on the speed boat for some fun!
Cutest litte booty
Kinley loved the lake & even jumped in a few times!

Laiken: 4 months old!

Laiken -

Time is flying and you're already 4 months old! I love doing comparison pictures so here's you & Kinley at 4 months.

Kinley looks so much bigger but you are almost 1/2 pound heavier and an inch longer!  Pictures are deceiving.  We went to the doctor for your 4 month check-up and you did great, besides the ridiculous amount of shots you had to get.  You weighed 14 pounds, 15.6 ounces and were 25" long.

4th of July from my phone

Hi blog buddies!!  Is there anyone still checking in?  No...not so much?...

Well I have found a moment to try to play a little catch up!  I'm pretty sure these pictures don't need many captions so here goes...The rest of 4th of July from my phone!
Party at the in-laws!
We went to watch a band at Southwind Park and Kinley entertained us with some dancing.

Laiken: 3 Months Old!

Laiken -
You turned 3 months old right after the 4th of July.  I never imagined how much joy you would bring to our family when I found out that I was pregnant with you.  You've been such an easy going baby.  Within your first 3 months, you've moved to a new house and started going to Aunt Sue's while I'm at work.  Nothing seems to phase you and we love it!
You're always smiling unless your tummy hurts and we can easily get giggles out of you.  You also love your big sis!  (I obviously love dressing you two alike as proven by many pictures!)

This month you started "talking" and cooing more.  You actually don't mind tummy time too much and love playing on your activity mat.
We didn't go to the doctor this month so I don't have any stats to report.  You're wearing size 2 diapers and moved into 3-6 month clothes already.  You're a growing girl!
We love you so much, Laikers!
