After Christmas Fun!

Scott was off work for 2 whole weeks after Christmas so he & Kinley got to spend some much needed daddy-daughter time together.  Of course, I got to join in on some of the fun, too!

The week after Christmas we...

took an "all girls" nap one afternoon (that's 4 Tucker ladies in one chair!),
met Aunties & Uncles for lunch,
had an adults-only night while friends were in town,
and met Scott's boss & his wife for dinner.

We also went to a friends wedding and got to party with a minor celebrity (or major celebrity depending on how much you like Nascar).  We couldn't ask for pictures or autographs so you can believe me...or not.  But his name started with "Ky" and ended with "le Busch."  Get it??

He walked by right after this picture but neither of us were gutsy enough to be "those people" and beg for a picture with our baby. :(
Someone wouldn't stop playing with their spoon for a quick pic with mommy...
Kinley partied with us for a while and grandma was so nice to come pick her up and have a sleepover so we could enjoy the evening and get a full nights sleep!  Here she is watching for Grandma:
"No autographs, please."  How stinkin' cute is this coat!?  Mackenzie & Mia got it for her for her birthday - a little big but too cute not to wear!

And we got snow on New Years Eve (day).  We had to run a few errands to get ready for our party and I got to take this little snow bunny along for the ride.
My little eskimo baby!

A big week of celebrations!

The 2nd week in October will always mean lots of celebrating for our family.

We celebrated Scott's birthday on October 9 and our 2nd wedding anniversary on the 10th.  Yep, he has NO excuse to forget our anniversary. :)

Our wedding day was definitely one of the best days of our lives.  I remember saying that we would take a trip back to Sanibel for our anniversary every year and so far that hasn't happened.  Babies happened, ha!
I meant to do a wedding re-cap post for our anniversary but that definitely didn't happen.  Maybe eventually...

Anyway, Scott & I went to dinner by ourselves at Bella Milano on Tuesday night.  Of course, I wanted to bring Kinley since I don't get to see her much during the work week but Scott's parents told us they were keeping her.

It turned out to be a good idea and we enjoyed a leisurely dinner without hearing the word "more" 100 times during the meal.  (I did kind of miss it though).

The hubby did good and sent me flowers Wednesday - lilies like my wedding bouquet and roses because he's romantic.

We went out to dinner at Island Bay with our parents on Thursday night to wrap up our week of celebrations.
I couldn't love these 2 more!
Kinley was so well behaved and we had a great evening!

If you would have told me that on our 2nd wedding anniversary we would have a 1 year old and another on the way I would have called you crazy!  I guess life's a little crazy like that but I wouldn't change it for the world!

Andy & Tabitha's Wedding

We continued our summer of traveling by heading to Minnesota for our friends' wedding.  They have a special place in our hearts because they lived with us a few years ago when Andy coached hockey in town.  They're like our 'kids.'  :)

We decided to leave Kinley with the grandparents since it was a 10 hour drive and she had just been such a trooper on our San Antonio trip.  It hurt my heart to leave her but I knew we needed some time to let loose and celebrate!

Can you imagine what I thought when we pulled up to Andy's sisters house for the rehearsal dinner??...
Kinley would have loved this!!  Kid heaven!

They had a nice backyard barbeque so we could relax and meet their friends and family.

Springfield picture

After dinner we moved the party inside and things got wild!
They have some really fun and welcoming friends & family!
The soon-to-be Mahers:
Bear was also our house guest in Springfield.  We had the music blasting in the car & Bear decided that was a good spot to nap.
Hula hoops even came out...

We were up bright and early the next morning to help decorate.  We stayed at Andy's moms house and the ceremony and reception were in her backyard so it worked out perfectly.
I helped set up the picture aisle for the entrance.
The sweet flower girls..
Tabitha & her dad...and tears :)
The newlyweds!

Hockey guys - Joe, Andy, & Scott
Andy's toast, lots of smiles!
Me & Abby (notice the sweatshirts, 75-80 degrees was gorgeous during the day but it got chilly that night!)

Me and my "son"
Happy family after the reception!
We had such a FUN time celebrating with these two!  They've already honeymooned and packed up and moved to California where Andy is now coaching.  Congrats and we can't wait to come visit!

Our final days in Texas

The morning after the wedding we planned to go floating on the Comal River around 10:00 and then go shopping at the outlet mall on the way to Pam & Phil's house in Boerne, Texas.  Well, with a family this big, being on time is not one of our strong suites, ha!

Everyone finally made it to the check in point around 12:30 and we were set free on the river!  We forgot to bring drinks but still had a blast!

Our floatilla clockwise from bottom: Matt, Jana, Andy, me, Joel, Beth, Cora

Andy, Tami, & Cheyenne
1/2 of the Diakers:  Sophie & Scott
More Daikers:  Patty & Sam
Rindie, Ashley, the girls, & my mom decided to go shop in downtown Gruene so Kinley had fun with them!

We didn't finish floating until almost 3:00 but all of us girls still had our hearts set on outlet mall shopping!  My dad tried to fight it but realized that he was grossly outnumbered and wasn't going to win that fight, even if it was out of the way!

After some power shopping we loaded back into the car and hit the road to Boerne!  At this point, poor Kinley had had more than enough of the car and had her first mental breakdown of the trip :(  We arrived just in time to watch Uncle Phil cook us a delicious dinner and have some major family catchup time into the wee hours of the night!

We woke up bright & early to play the next morning - this early bird never wanted to sleep past 6am while her cousin Presley sometimes slept until 9, lucky!  (but how can you resist this face in the morning?!)
We toured the cute town of Boerne that day.  Here's sweet Presley waiting for us get ready to go.
Our first stop was to Pam's salon.  We noticed some familiar people under the dryers...Andy, Garrett, & Cora
Kinley was ready for her first haircut but mommy said no way!
The newest Tres Bella receptionist:
I love the picture where Hadley is asking, "Now what would you like me to do to your hair?"

Our next stop was the local winery.  This was the middle of the day on Tuesday but can you imagine this place in the evenings?  I bet it's beautiful & busy!
Of course, the babies had to go to the winery, too - stroller overload! haha
Their wine tasting system was awesome & I had neve seen it before.  You add money to a debit card, then insert it in the machine, and the machine would vend the appropriate amount of wine.  You could pay for 1/4, 1/2, or a full glass of wine, fun!
We hung out in the back area for most of the afternoon and took plenty of pictures.

Kinley, Hadley, Presley
...apparently you must have an 'ley' at the end of your name to hang with these fun girls!  ;)
Andy & I enjoying our wine selections
Cora, Pam, Kaylen, Garrett, Jake, & Mark
Our little "twins" of the family
Hadley posing with Grandma by the fountain
In classic Joel & Mark style, they decided to go to the car to enjoy a beer while they waited...ha!

That evening Phil cooked us another amazing tex-mex meal called Pozole, pork & hominy.  I promise he enjoys cooking, we aren't just awful guests...I think!

After dinner we let the girls play in the hot tub.
Disclaimer: it wasn't steaming hot so the babies were fine. :)
Pretty little Hadley
Our chubby bathing beauties!

After a full week of traveling and tons of fun with our Texas family, we packed up and headed home Wednesday morning and drove straight home until 2am.  Whew, I'm wiped just thinking about it, but it was SO worth it!
