New Year, New Look

I've wanted to get a new blog background/layout for a while now but never took the time to do it.  I thought about having someone design it for me but that meant spending money that isn't super necessary.

Well, I found a background that I liked & set it up but the header doesn't look right so it's driving me crazy!!!  If anyone knows HTML or can help me get the title centered correctly, I'd SO appreciate it.  My "ADD side" only comes out when it comes to creative projects, or something like this.

Hopefully I can figure it out soon without having to pay someone because that's my next option.  : /

After Christmas Fun!

Scott was off work for 2 whole weeks after Christmas so he & Kinley got to spend some much needed daddy-daughter time together.  Of course, I got to join in on some of the fun, too!

The week after Christmas we...

took an "all girls" nap one afternoon (that's 4 Tucker ladies in one chair!),
met Aunties & Uncles for lunch,
had an adults-only night while friends were in town,
and met Scott's boss & his wife for dinner.

We also went to a friends wedding and got to party with a minor celebrity (or major celebrity depending on how much you like Nascar).  We couldn't ask for pictures or autographs so you can believe me...or not.  But his name started with "Ky" and ended with "le Busch."  Get it??

He walked by right after this picture but neither of us were gutsy enough to be "those people" and beg for a picture with our baby. :(
Someone wouldn't stop playing with their spoon for a quick pic with mommy...
Kinley partied with us for a while and grandma was so nice to come pick her up and have a sleepover so we could enjoy the evening and get a full nights sleep!  Here she is watching for Grandma:
"No autographs, please."  How stinkin' cute is this coat!?  Mackenzie & Mia got it for her for her birthday - a little big but too cute not to wear!

And we got snow on New Years Eve (day).  We had to run a few errands to get ready for our party and I got to take this little snow bunny along for the ride.
My little eskimo baby!

Christmas 2012

I'll start off by apologizing for the amount of terrible pictures from Christmas.  Our camera charger went MIA so I couldn't use my good camera so you all get to enjoy iPhone/Instagram photos of our Christmas celebration.  I'm still kicking myself for not buying a charger on Christmas Eve so I feel like I missed out on some great Christmas morning shots - worst.mom.ever!  (yes, I'm a little dramatic).

We started off Christmas Eve at my Aunt & Uncle's house.  We ate tons of food and played the annual white elephant present game.  This is the only picture I got - Kinley all dressed up in her fancy Christmas dress & coat from Aunt Beth!

We went to Rob & Sue's house after that to end our evening.

The kids tracked Santa on the computer and Kinley was VERY interested this year!  Well, maybe she just loves computers, but it still made for some cute pictures!

Maille & Christie showed us all how to do "the wobble."  Is this not normal at other family Christmas parties??  Ha!

The only Tucker Christmas picture we took.  I'm hoping someone else has one that's better than this, eek!

I got lucky and got a quick pic after Santa came!

Our 3 stockings...soon to be 4!
All ready for Kinley to wake up!

I don't have any pictures of Kinley's excited face when I carried her out from our bedroom at 6:30am but she was actually really thrilled to see all the presents!  Luckily, we have it all on video but I'm looking like a hot pregnant mess so that video will not be posted. :)  Just trust me - there were many Ooohhs and pointing!

This girl got right down to business, trying out her new rocking elephant first.  Then she discovered her first real baby doll.  She has a paci, falls asleep and says mama, sleepy, etc.  Obviously from the picture below, this was another HIT!

She also got a puppy dog.  She loves dogs and always lets out a high pitched "oof, oof!"

Of course we needed a breakfast snack break - Cheerios to the rescue!  (Don't you think Santa should have got the hint NOT to bring toys based on the toys piled in the corner, yikes!)

Kinley finished opening her clothes (not real impressed) and other fun stuff while Scott & I exchanged gifts.

Christmas Day #1 was in the books by the time the sun came up and we were scrambling to get ready for Christmas #2 at 8am!

We opened gifts & ate breakfast at Scott's parents house and were beyond spoiled again.  Kinley got a sled, clothes, and a rock-n-ride tricycle!

(Babydoll had to come with us to our other Christmas celebrations).

By 10:30, we were on our way to my parents house to exchange gifts.  We were on a time crunch as family usually arrives for lunch right before noon.  We tore through our gifts and Kinley was really impressed again!  She loved her purse from Andy/Alicia, 2 pairs of Toms from Aunt B/Michael, tent from Coco, and wagon from G-ma & G-pa!  I loved watching her face light up with each gift because I wasn't sure if she would be super excited this year or not.  She definitely was!

She looked like a little diva carrying her purse around in her hot pink sparkly Toms!

We ate too much for lunch and lounged on the couch for the afternoon while visiting with family.  Kinley found a good spot to relax in her wagon.

We gathered all of our goodies and went back to Scott's parents for Christmas Day #4.  After dinner, we played the annual white elephant gift game.  This game gets intense and there are always some hilarious gifts dug up from other peoples basements.

Kinley was on daddys team this year and one of their gifts was a Zhuzhu pet, which she loves! ha!

Delaney acquired quite the collection of gifts during the game.

After the game, we all finally settled into the couch for a little relaxation after a huge day.  This little lady was still going strong at 9:00 even though she only took an hour nap all day!

We made some amazing memories with our families this year and had so much fun.  I'm still trying to grasp the fact that we'll have 2 babies to celebrate with next year!  Even though we're exhausted by the time Christmas is over, we are so thankful that our families live close and we are able to share so much of the holidays with them!

Girls Night

Happy New Year blog readers!  I had fully intended on doing a 2012 wrap up but I'm not even caught up with Christmas so I'm sure that's going to get skipped.  We finally have most of the Christmas decor put away and we're prepping for a fresh new year.  So now it's time to play catch up!

Some of my high school girlfriends got together the weekend before Christmas for dinner and drinks at Karens house.  She's the only one that still lives in Rochester and we rarely get together - sad I know. :(

Kristin brought her adorable daughter Peyton so Kinley had a buddy to hang out with all night.  The girls loved harassing playing with the puppies all night, too!

One attempt at a self-timer photo but Kinley wasn't interested:

Kinley actually decided to be independent that night and walked around talking on her phone, working on her laptop, and socializing with Peyton.  I was impressed!
And she even let someone other than mommy hold her, wow!  I promise she really does like you, Katy!
We enjoyed taco soup, white chicken chili, and plenty of appetizers (oh, and wine for the non-preggos).  One thing has never changed with us girls - our love for food!
I just love that we can pick up right where we left off like time hasn't flown by.  Even though I don't get to see these girls as often as I'd like, I still consider them some of the best friends I'll ever have.
We were missing a few girls who couldn't make it to town that day but hopefully we can catch up soon!  One was stuck in Dallas waiting for her new baby boy to arrive so I figured that was a legit excuse. ;)

What a fun way to kick off the Christmas weekend!

Bump Watch 2013: Week 23/24

I'm pretty sure that "Bump Watch" is going to become an every 2 week post since the weeks are flying by and we always forget to take a picture until it's almost the next week!

We spent weeks 23 & 24 getting ready for Christmas and made tons of fun memories!

I pulled this picture from my last bump watch posts as a reference from my 1st pregnancy to 2nd.  I hadn't compared yet but O.M.G., I need to start choosing salads over Mexican, yikes!  My abs were a lot tighter the first time around so they were good at holding everything in and I guess my belly knows what it's doing this time around (that makes me nervous)!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 24 weeks

Size of baby: 12 inches & between 1 & 2
pounds

Total weight gain/loss:  I have been avoiding the scale lately but I would guess around 13 pounds.

Maternity clothes: I've switched to mostly maternity and a few normal tops.

Gender: It's a GIRL!!

Movement:  Her head was down at my last appointment and I'm getting plenty of kicks in my ribs.  Scott loves getting to feel her move, too!

Sleep:  Same as every other week.  The past 2 nights have been great since Kinley is healthier again.

What I miss:  Getting up and down off the floor with ease.  Playing with Kinley is already getting more difficult.

Cravings: I didn't need to crave anything, we had every sort of food imaginable at Christmas!

Symptoms: My back/tailbone is bothering me when I stand too long and sometimes at night.  Acid reflux has returned and I'm just worn out.  I'm not so sure that I'm going to be the happy preggo that I was at the end of summer 2011.

Memorable moment for the week:   Seeing Baby #2 again at my 24 week appointment!  I got another sonogram to look at baby girl's heart and everything looked great!
From the looks of this picture, Kinley is getting to be Miss Independent. I don't totally buy it, she still wants to be held all.the.time! And that's wearing on mommy!  But seriously, how can I say no to this cheeser!?!

Kylie's 13th Birthday!

We celebrated my niece Kylie's 13th birthday the weekend before Christmas.  I'm not sure how 2 of our nieces can be teenagers already!

Kylie was born the year that Scott & I started dating (1999).  I still remember him walking up to me in the hall at high school saying "Kylie Marie."  I was just as "blond" then and totally didn't get it for a minute but then I realized what he was talking about and couldn't wait to meet her!

Kylie has grown into a super sweet, organized, beautiful, athletic 13 year old and we couldn't be more proud of her!  She is such a great babysitter and cousin to Kinley - we are VERY lucky to have her around!

Anyway, enough bragging, onto the party!  Sue threw a Mexican fiesta themed party and we had a blast celebrating!

Our 2 sweet K girls:

Delaney & Kinley being crazy girls

Sue's mom, Sharon, and Kinley chowing on chips & salsa.
It's totally normal for everyone to gather in the kitchen at parties, right?

A sassy little 1 year old didn't want to be stopped for a picture with Abby & Laney.
This same sassy 1 year old loves playing with Christmas decor...
What, I'm not supposed to play with this??
The girls at the party gathering for present time!

Kylie got some great b-day gifts!
Dance Moms!  (I was a little jealous) :)

Kylie must have been really good this year because she got an iPhone 5 from mom & dad!  Lucky!!
She has been begging for an iPhone so this was major!

Posing with her chocolate cheesecake, yum!
And we couldn't forget the sombrero!

And what post is complete without some nakey baby pictures!  Kinley has reached the stage where she doesn't want her diaper or clothes changed so it's usually done in stages.  Example #1:
And #2 - trying to wrestle away her jammies.  Crazy girls!

We had so much fun celebrating but everyone needs to stop growing up!  I want to keep them little forever!

We hope you had an awesome birthday, KyKy!
