Halloween 2013

We kicked off Halloween with pumpkin carving in the front yard.  Laiken hung out on the blanket and loved watching us.
Kinley pretended to help but she couldn't use a knife and didn't want to touch the gooey inside so she hung out and supervised.
This is one of my favorite pictures - my mom had just pulled up out front and she was waving.
A family ok pumpkins.
We had a small party for family and a few friends at our new house.  We handed out candy and took the girls out to trick-or-treat at a few houses in the neighborhood.
Kinley dressed up as one of her favorite Disney characters, Doc McStuffins.
Laiken was Doc's toy lamb, Lambie!
The cutest Doc & Lambie I've ever seen!
It was pretty rainy that night so Laiken hung out in the house and snacked.
My niece Kylie and her friends Katie & Carlie came by as superheros - so cute!
My nephew Brayden was the cutest leprechaun or Notre Dame Irishman.
Thankful for these big girls that help out so much with the girls!

Fall Fun 2013!

We started off our fall fun with the traditional visit to the Apple Barn to pick out pumpkins and fall décor.  Kinley found the perfect mini pumpkins for her and Laiken.
We had the perfect photo-op with Laiken in the pumpkin patch but all she wanted to do was eat hay!

The weather stayed nice into October and we visited Scott a few times at work.  The girls love "trying out" the new boats!

We celebrated Scott's 29th birthday on October 10th with a party at home that night.
Kinley started taking an interest in "driving the car" and being a big kid...

Miss Kinley also looooves her paci - surprise, surprise.
And this one is my little cheeser!

Scott went out with the guys one evening so we had a girls night filled with bubble baths and painting our nails!
Poor Laiken came down with something and had the rosiest cheeks.  I love those chubby cheekers!

My girlfriends started turning 30 last fall so we started off the celebration with a trip to the wineries in Grafton.  That area is gorgeous and we had so much fun!

More random sisterly love pictures...can't get enough!

Kinley modeling her OOTD (outfit of the day).  I couldn't resist this fur vest!
She was dressed perfect for a chilly night at the hockey game.  Kinley was obsessed with the mascot Gilley!
Laiken started experimenting with crawling after her 6 month birthday!  I'm pretty sure this picture ended with a face dive...
Poor Laiken is already getting harassed by big sis.  But I'm pretty sure she's fine with anything when she gets attention!

Our last fall adventure included going to South Bend, Indiana for a Notre Dame football game.  We arrived at our hotel and shopped at the bookstore which is huge!  We enjoyed a really nice steak dinner that night and went to the game the next evening.
We ordered our tickets in August by the pool and we definitely didn't imagine that we would be sitting in a snowstorm in November!  It.was.SO.cold. but we had tons of fun!
FUN!

Laiken: 6 Months Old!

Laiken turned 6 months old on Scott's birthday, October 9th!  The first half of the year absolutely flew by with moving into a new house, me starting a new job, and Scott's crazy summer hours.

Laiken is such a sweet baby but definitely knows what she wants when she wants it!  I guess with a big sis you have to be exertive to be heard!

At 6 months old you weighed 17 pounds 4 ounces and were 26.5 inches long.  You are definitely our good eater!  This month we started solid food and you were a huge fan.
You also have your big sis's baby belly and thighs.  We just love those rolls!

You were sick around your 1/2 birthday and ended up cutting your first tooth a few days later on October 13th and your second tooth 4 days later.

Our sweet Laikey-Lou keeps us on our toes and brings a lot of excitement & craziness to our already hectic life but we couldn't imagine life without her!
