End of January

We finally got to meet baby Rowen when he & Jess came to visit!  Kinley was more interested in trying to buckle his car seat so no baby jealousy yet...
She decided to show a little interest when they were about to leave.  I think she even gave him a little kiss!
"So you're telling me that I'm going to have one of these at my house in a few months??"
"I might like that!"

Last Thursday Scott helped Matt move some furniture to their newly finished basement so Clayton & Kinley got some play time.  She wasn't too sure about him at first...
They became buddies pretty quick though.
They had lots of fun jumping!  And our little lovey even gave K a kiss!
Photo shoot time!  Their faces are too funny!

Oh the usual...Kinley laying in our bed at some point during the night.

Kinley & I stopped by Sue's house on Saturday morning to do Laney's hair for her gymnastics meet!

Matt & Julie hosted the Super Bowl party on Sunday and Kinley warmed up fast considering we were just over there on Thursday.  She surprised me by knowing how to hold and swing a baseball bat.  Sue & I have no idea where she learned it but she did pretty well!
I may need to invest in some sports equipment this Spring for our jockette!
The girls enjoyed socializing and watching commercials/the half time show while the guys talked sports.  We all agreed that there were only a few good commercials this year...whomp whomp.
And these two provided lots of entertainment!  Even though they are only one year apart, Clayton is more than a head taller than Kinley & for some reason this picture amplifies the difference - he looks huge!  haha.  It may look like they were angels but we heard our fair share of "no, no, no's" from Kinley when sharing was an issue.  Looks like we'll be working on playing nice before the new baby comes...

Hockey & Homecoming

We had lots of fun last weekend which started with attending the Rochester homecoming parade on Friday afternoon.  I normally like going to the parade to see all the kids and floats but this year was extra special!

Sue decided that Kinley should be in the parade with her cousins so she "walked" with the Rochester Soccer Club crew.  I thought she was a little crazy but was really excited :)
Orange & blue lining the parade route
A parade isn't complete without the band!

I caught the RSC float at the end before they got to the high school and it was chaos!

I found Kinley passed out in her stroller.  All that "walking" will wear a girl out!
Check out the tutu that Aunt Sue made for her - love it!
Brayden & Delaney posing with Kinley

Kinley & I picked up Aunt Cora after the parade and we swung by Panera on the way to Scott's hockey game.
This girl LOVES her food, especially mac n cheese!

Scott was playing in the tournament to raise money for Danielle Loftus and Caring Bridge. I'm sure most people know that Danielle was involved in a devastating wave runner accident a few summers ago. Scott has played hockey with her dad for years so participating in events like this are really special.
Terrible picture of Scott but it's the only one I had on my phone.

After the game Scott decided to teach Kinley how to be a real hockey fan and bang on the glass.  She learned quickly how much fun it is and was hitting the glass and waving in no time!
Daddy's girl

[Side note:  We got home late that night so I knew after a long day with hardly any naps, Kinley would sleep immediately!  It's hilarious how wrong I was!

She was overtired and would NOT give in so she played in her crib from 8-9:15 and then the meltdown began - her bedtime is 7:45/8:00.  She didn't want held or rocked or put down, nothing made her happy...Finally, after listening to her sob until 10pm, I decided that this preggo mama was driving to Steak N Shake for a milkshake!  And wouldn't you guess, she was asleep before we left our lane.  What.a.night!  (Of course, I didn't make Scott come home because it was a special weekend with his hockey buddies but boy does he owe me).]

Scott had 2 more games on Saturday but Kinley and I decided to do a little shopping with my mom, dad, & Cora that morning.

We were looking for gifts for Ava so, naturally, Kinley had to try everything out first.  And she may or may not have gone home with 2 out of the 3 toys shown below...
In my defense, grandma bought them for her house!  :)

Scott won his game that morning so Kinley & I ran home to get in a quick nap before his next game.

Delaney came to the 2nd game after gymnastics so we had more entertainment!  Can you guess whose lap Kinley wanted to sit on?
Scott won his 3rd game and played for 3rd/4th place on Sunday.  They ended up winning & taking 3rd, yea!

Normally, Scott has hockey on Sunday nights so we took advantage of his night off and went to Lake Pointe for dinner.  Kinley LOVED coloring while we waited!
I'm laughing as I post this because Kinley has a blue bow in her hair with a pink & black outfit but I didn't notice that day...?  Ha, I'm losing it!

Anyway, we had a super fun, busy, and exhausting weekend so I'm ready for a lazy fall weekend at home. :)

Soccer Tournament

Kylie & Brayden played in a 3 v 3 soccer tournament at the end of July so Kinley & I went to cheer them on.

Here's K with her biggest fans, Zack & Brayden.
She also thought she was pretty big stuff when she got to sit in the golf cart with Sue's dad, Larry.
Daddy loved seeing this picture...future soccer star?!
Our "K" girls - Kinley & Kylie
Rob coaching Brayden's team.
B is such a tough little player!
Then we moved onto Kylie's game.
She's a great defender!
We only lasted through a few games before someone needed a nap but we loved watching them play!

Kylie Soccer

Last Friday night we finally made it to one of Kylie's soccer games!
Sue & I were yelling at her to look at the camera for a quick pic before the game started and it looks like only 1 girl got the memo, hilarious!

That's better!
Kylie is an awesome defender and plays on multiple teams year round either indoor or outdoor.
Kinley enjoyed watching the game, too!

She spent some time playing on the blanket and I captured this as the sun was starting to set.
Checking out the grass

Kylie's team went on to beat the other team by a ton so I lost count...8-0?  Yep that's sounds good!  (I'm sure Ky will correct me).
Tuckers always have to be #10!

Investigating the grass a little more.
A few of my favorite girlies!
I love watching my neices & nephews' sports (b/c they're so good..I think I've mentioned that before, lol) but I just have a hard time finding time to go.  Hopefully we can make it to more games throughout the year!

Bump Watch 2011: Week 39

It seems like this pregnancy has just flown by especially when you figure that I've been pregnant for the entire year of 2011.  We found out about our peanut on January 13 so she was obviously a New Years baby.  Since then, we've celebrated many birthdays, holidays, and weddings, attended a Blackhawks game, ice skated, went to Sanibel, laid by the pool, went boating, and went to some fun concerts.  It's crazy to think that I've experienced every season possible during the pregnancy.  It started in the dead of Winter with lots of ice & snow, transitioned to a nice Spring, and an incredibly HOT summer.  Now the temperatures seem to be changing again and we're about to enter Fall.  Baby T is officially cooked and hopefully we'll meet her during the next week or so and we can enjoy Fall together!

Like I was saying, this whole pregnancy has flown by...except for this week.  Week 39 decided to creep by at a snails pace because all I could think about was my next appointment!  I wanted to keep progressing like I had been and hopefully get sent to the hospital to meet this little girl!  Obviously that didn't happen.  I did find out that I'm over 3 cm dilated & 70% effaced so that's still progress.  Now all we need are contractions so I'm crossing my fingers!

This weekend we did more major home organization in preparation for the carpet and also watched some soccer.  Kylie & Brayden were in a soccer tournament at UIS so we went & cheered on our favorite soccer kiddos!  Here are some action shots:
Pretty good action shot if I do say so...
#10!
Kylie's field was so big I had issues getting any good pics...
This week also brought the date 09/10/11 which many projected as my due date, but no such luck.  (That would have been a pretty cool birthday though).  As the days ticked by, I crossed more and more peoples names off of the Baby T Birthday list.  I think we all got a little excited and guessed too soon.

As of today, I'm happy to report that the carpet is totally installed and the house is all put back together!  I'm hoping that Baby T is a really good listener and knew that we just needed to get carpet done and then she could come.  I'm ready to go tomorrow!  :)

Pregnancy Highlights:
How far along: 39 weeks
Size of baby: 20.5 inches & 7 pounds
Total weight gain/loss: 30 pounds
Maternity clothes: All maternity but my summer wardrobe is not transitioning well into the cooler temps!  I never had any long pants or shirts with sleeves, oops!  Hopefully just using a cardigan will get me through the last week or so.
Gender: It's a GIRL!!
Movement: It's getting more cramped in there every day but she stills wiggles a lot.
Sleep: I'm pretty sure I'm doomed in this department.  I'm up 2-4 times and almost always have issues getting back to sleep.  Last night I was having contractions but nothing that hurt to start counting but it still kept me up.  Needless to say, I was exhausted and cranky today : /
What I miss: Being able to reach my feet!
Cravings: Nothing crazy this week.
Symptoms: Some contractions and my feet have started swelling especially when I'm on them a lot during the day.  I still have an outside ankle but the inside is definitely looking like a cankle! haha
Memorable moment for the week:  Getting the house in order for her arrival and finally packing my bag!
