1st Week Home

The first 3 weeks of Kinley's life have flown by and I have yet to blog about them.  I'm basically going to do a photo dump to capture what we did those weeks and get caught up.

In a nutshell, the 1st week consisted of:  sleeping, diaper changing, nursing, a little fussing,  & repeat...  BUT there were a few other events sprinkled in to make it more exciting.

Our first night home actually went really well and we were only up a few times.  The other nights that week were hit & miss - some she was only up every 4 hours - at midnight, 4am, & 7am.  Other nights it seemed like we were up every hour.
Our 1st 3am pow-wow when we turned on the lights &
hung out.  We later learned that it was a bad idea...
Biiiig yawn from our little birdy
Scott had a week off from work so he was home the rest of the week with us which was awesome.  He was so helpful!  We had a little routine where I would feed her and then hand her off to daddy to burp and hang out so I could relax.  He was also the designated diaper changer that week.  Kinley gave him a few full loads and had her 1st blow out when her diaper was off, haha!  We miss him now when he's at work everyday but look forward to 6:00 when he gets home!

We had Kinley's first doctor's appointment on Friday the 23rd.  She weighed 7lbs (only 1.5oz less than her birth weight) and was 19.5 inches - she's a growin' girl!  Dr. Dolan checked her over and said she looked very healthy.  She was basically right in the middle for height and weight so we were happy with that.
After the 1st Dr. Appt.
We also watched our 1st Notre Dame and Cardinals games that week.
Go Irish!
We gave Kinley her first bath at home which went ok but she was freezing and not super happy.
Crossing her leg like a little lady, haha!
Brrrr, I'm freezing!
All warm in my jammies
A few more visitors:
This week was definitely the most overwhelming.  Between being sore from delivery, suffering through breastfeeding, and hardly sleeping, I was very emotional that week.  There were some tears, lots of smiles and laughter, and many memories made and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
